Tutors

Volunteer tutors are play a critical role in our program.  In 2008 we started our tutoring program, the ONE to ONE Challenge.  We partner with individual tutors from area corporations, government agencies, non-for-profits, neighborhood, & faith-based organizations, schools, and retirees.  In addition, each year, the National Honors Society President from Rockhurst High School becomes an executive in our program.  His objective is to recruit local high school students that need community service hours to tutor in the program.  The relationships that we build from this partnership has created amazing results & continued dedication.  In 2010, we have had over 8,000 hours of tutoring, all from volunteer tutors throughout the community!  To volunteer as a tutor, click “Become a Tutor.”
